Background In 2006, CAISO hosted a stakeholder process to review and determine a fair and reliable threshold and timeline for reporting Generator Availability within the CAISO balancing authority. With stakeholder input from the process, the CAISO implemented changes to the tariff and began enforcement of the generator availability threshold and timeline. During the stakeholder process CAISO committed to a review of the reporting requirements after reasonable experience had been gained. From the CAISO initial review and the unsolicited input from the Market Participants, CAISO has agreed to initiate a stakeholder process to review Generator Availability Reporting.
