The mission of the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) is to plan and operate a safe and reliable electric system, facilitate markets for capacity, energy and congestion. But like any organization that maintains reliability, the CAISO must also be a responsive organization that fosters change for the benefit of our customers in California and the West. The CAISO is prepared to make the modifications to its current Control Area Network Model that are outlined in this document. The proposed changes are scheduled for implementation on July 2nd, 2008 effective for trade date July 3rd, 2008. The modifications include new Participating Generator Agreement (PGA) Resources.
